WordPress care, month by month

Your site, minded and written down

Miloliu is Miloshko Liubov, working alone from Ayrshire on small business WordPress sites. Backups taken every day, updates done on a schedule instead of in a panic, and a written record at the end of every month so you can see exactly what was done to your site.

Three plans for one site, at £95, £225 or £390 a month. The one at £95 covers the backups, the updates, the watching and the record; the two above it add time for changes to your pages.

On every plan

The same care underneath all three

The plans differ in how much of my time comes with them. What keeps the site standing up is the same on each.

One WordPress site, backed up every day, with the copy kept off the site itself

WordPress core, plugins and themes updated on a schedule, and the site looked over afterwards

Uptime monitoring, so a site that stops answering is noticed here rather than by your customers

A written record of the month, sent to you at the end of it

Hosting, your domain name and any paid plugin or theme licences stay in your own name and are billed to you by whoever provides them. They are not part of a plan and nothing here marks them up.

Three plans, one site

Pick one. They are alternatives, not steps

A site sits on one plan at a time. Moving between them takes an email and starts with the next month.

Every figure on this page is in pounds sterling and is the whole amount due for that month. Tax status is not settled yet, so this site does not state one and shows no registration number; if that changes it will be confirmed in writing before any invoice. Larger rebuilds are quoted on their own and are not taken out of a plan.

Sending work in

How a job gets from your desk to your site

No ticket system to learn and no portal to log into. You write an email; the rest of this is what happens to it.

  1. You email the change

One address, whenever it suits you. A sentence, a screenshot or a document to go up - whatever you have is enough to start with.

  2. You hear back from me

Within one or two working days, depending on the plan. That first reply says whether I have understood it and what it will take.

  3. It gets a slot

The reply gives the day it will be done and the time it should take out of your allowance. Anything past the allowance, or past a minor change, gets a figure in writing before it is started.

  4. It is done and checked

Risky work happens on a copy of the site first. Nothing goes live until the pages around it have been opened and looked over.

  5. It goes in the record

With the date and, where it came off your allowance, the minutes it took. The record reaches you at the end of the month.

Read this before you count on it

A response time is the first reply, not the finish

When a plan says one working day, it means you hear back from me within one working day: I have read what you sent, I have said whether I have understood it, and I have told you when it will be done. It does not mean the job itself is finished by then, and no plan on this site promises that.

How long the work itself takes depends on what it is. A line of text changed is normally done the same working day it is agreed; a page built from copy you supply, within five working days of the material being complete. Something that needs a decision from you waits for the decision, and the record says so.

Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting bank holidays in Scotland.

Three things worth knowing early

  • Included time does not carry over.Whatever is left of your monthly allowance ends with the month. It is not banked and it is not refunded.
  • Big rebuilds are quoted separately.A new design, a shop added, a site moved to a different platform: those are jobs of their own, with their own figure agreed in writing first.
  • There is no cover through the night.Requests are picked up on working days. Nothing here is a round-the-clock watch, and no plan pretends otherwise.

The month, written down

You get a record, not a reassurance

At the end of every month a plain record arrives by email: the day, what was done, and for anything that came out of your change allowance, the minutes it took. Backups verified, updates applied, plugins held back and why, a site that stopped answering for six minutes at four in the morning. All of it, including the months where nothing dramatic happened.

It is the same record on all three plans, and it is the reason this site is built the way it is: if you cannot see what was done, you are paying for a feeling.

Read a month of it
A quiet working corner in morning light: a closed notebook, a pencil laid across it and a cup of tea on a warm wooden table.

Paying for it

What it costs you, and when

A plan is a monthly arrangement. Nothing is taken automatically and nothing renews behind your back.

Agreed first

You send the request, I confirm in writing which plan fits, what it covers and the monthly figure: £95 a month, or £225 a month, or £390 a month. Nothing starts before you have that in front of you.

Invoiced monthly

One invoice a month, in pounds sterling, for the month ahead. The figure on the invoice is the figure agreed, and the total is in front of you before you pay anything.

Card details stay with the provider

When card payment is connected it will be handled by a payment provider on their own pages. Card numbers do not come to me, and nothing of the sort is stored on this site.

Card payment is not switched on yet

There is no pay button anywhere on this site, and nothing here takes money. The plans above are published so you can see what they cover and what they cost; the first month is arranged by email, and the invoice says how to pay it. When card payment is connected this page will say so and the wording on the terms pages will change with it.

Tell me what the site is doing

It asks where the site lives, what is going wrong and how much looking after you want, along with a name and an address to reply to. Then it writes the request out for you to send from your own email, so you keep a copy of exactly what was asked.
